Lower Level Essay SampleYou've probably noticed that your upper level has never given you any lower level assignments? Why would they do that? Let's talk about this.Lower level teachers don't do much with their papers because they're usually from a different grade group than the high school students assigned to them. They only have an idea of what grades these students are going to receive based on the way they teach their class, which means they have little to no idea how high or low these students actually end up getting.The other thing that happens is that most teachers don't do many essays in their entire careers. As a result, they don't have lots of practice writing essays at all. And of course, the kids usually just read through the assignment and do it quickly.What you're basically asking them to do is set a bit of work that requires higher grades. You should really take that into consideration when they're putting together the lower level assignments for you. But instead, the y end up rushing through their homework and ending up with lower grades.Then, they're not used to working with their lower level student. I know that happens with some teachers, but it doesn't usually happen to all of them. If you were dealing with a student who really had nothing to do but struggle with his or her paper, you might want to try turning them loose on the essay samples.This way, you have a real person, the upper level student, reading through these papers. And you're going to find out whether the assignments really match the grade of the test, and you're going to learn something from this lower level student that you weren't aware of.Do your own research. Take the time to look through the essay samples and see what other students have said about the assignments. And then you can determine if they're going to be right for you.Essays aren't going to go over well with your students unless they're well written. Give your students a chance to see what they are learning thro ugh lower level papers before they get to the upper level. You'll also be able to better understand the expectations of your students, which can help you create better assignments and better responses for your students to make in order to excel in their own studies.
